Unworthy

Our people are again warned against a man who for several years has made a business of imposing upon Christian Scientists, and who has obtained more or less money from them by falsely representing himself to be a Christian Scientist temporarily in need of funds until he can reach a relative in a distant city and obtain employment.

The story heretofore used by him is that he is a member of a Jewish family, but disowned and persecuted because of his espousal of Christian Science; that he is on his way to the home of the relative who will give him employment, but is completely out of money and desires the loan of a sum sufficient to enable him to buy a railroad ticket. He is quite fluent in the letter of our text-book, and is familiar with the names of Christian Scientists throughout the country. Since he keeps himself well posted on our periodicals, we assume that he will now adopt a different story.

The latest description we have of this man, is as follows: "He is a Hebrew in appearance, short, slender, has dark eyes and curly hair; uses good language, but with a slight German accent."
